Modern Wi-Fi (in) Education
As the school year begins, it’s time for the next episode of Dwell Time - Modern Wi-Fi in Education – The Playbook for Avoiding Wi-Fi Detention
This course (delivered in live webinar format) will focus on Wi-Fi in educational environments, including both K-12 schools and university campuses!
Even though the school year is just starting, Jussi, Jerry and Joel have somehow already earned themselves detention (but none of the faculty is surprised). To make up for their past failures, they are joined by “professors” and education Wi-Fi experts:
- Mitch Dickey, Lead Communications Engineer, Loudoun County Public Schools
- Rowell Dionicio, Technical Team Lead Wi-Fi, Prestigious University
- Bryan Ward, Lead Network Engineer, Esteemed College
Join us and get educated on topics such as:
- School and campus design considerations
- Designing for capacity in classrooms and auditoriums (Joel, Jussi, or Jerry are sure to raise their hand and ask about 1 AP per classroom…)
- Designing in multi-purpose rooms and areas
- Indoor and outdoor design
- Designing for both BYOD and specific client devices
- Supporting remote students
- How 6 GHz and private cellular factor into school and campus networks
After signing up, you’ll receive a syllabus with a date and time for the webinar. As usual, class participation points can be earned with other students in the Zoom chat, and by using the Q&A tool to ask questions for the professors. This is a pass/fail course with a guaranteed pass for all attendees, and a guaranteed fail for Jussi, Jerry and Joel.
