Hamina Onsite app and Oscium Nomad
The Professional Wi-Fi Site Survey Toolkit
Need to validate, troubleshoot or expand your Wi-Fi network? The easy-to-use Hamina Onsite survey app, combined with the Oscium Nomad survey device, creates a professional and efficient site survey experience.
Whether you're just getting into wireless, or you're a seasoned CWNE (Certified Wireless Network Expert), Hamina Wireless' site survey solution paints the picture of your Wi-Fi network in easy-to-read heatmaps.
Hamina Onsite is Here!
...and it scales up, but with a low bar
Validate and Troubleshoot
Validate new networks, troubleshooting existing ones, and perform real-time analysis of your Wi-Fi access points (and your neighbor's access points).
Instant Heatmaps
Instantly view heatmaps of the survey results. Coverage, secondary coverage, tertiary coverage, SNR, and interference heatmaps update live while you survey, so you can troubleshoot instantly.
Spectrum Analysis
Hamina Onsite fully supports spectrum analysis for 2.4, 5 and 6 GHz Wi-Fi bands. Onsite supports on-the-spot spectrum analysis as well as post-survey analysis. Light-weight analysis of Wi-Fi is available without separate spectrum analyzer, and raw spectrum energy is seen when supported hardware is used.
The Most Reliable Site Survey App
Never lose survey data again
Perfectly Paired for Surveying
Take Hamina Onsite and Oscium Nomad onsite, and get the measurements! The Oscium Nomad device measures the data, and the Hamina Onsite app records and visualizes it as beautiful heatmaps.
Focused on Reliability
We've felt the pain of losing survey data, and wouldn't wish that on anyone (especially our customers), so we've built Hamina Onsite to be ultra-reliable from the ground up.
No Internet? No Problem!
Hamina Onsite works offline. When you're back to the internet, the gathered data will be synchronized to the Hamina cloud for deeper analysis in Hamina Network Planner.
Oscium Nomad Wi-Fi Site Survey Device
Heavy specs, light weight
All-new from Oscium
Hamina Wireless has partnered with the RF test equipment experts at Oscium to build the Oscium Nomad, a wearable Wi-Fi measurement device that's perfect for effortless and reliable surveys.
Feature-Packed and Future-Proof
Packing four tri-band Wi-Fi radios and eight Wi-Fi antennas, Oscium Nomad is 100 percent ready for 2.4, 5, and 6 GHz surveys (including Wi-Fi 7 and future Wi-Fi 8). The powerful built-in battery provides up to 4 hours of continuous surveying, and it charges super-fast during breaks. Plus, you can plug in a compatible spectrum analyzer to add real-time spectrum analysis for troubleshooting. Four-channel packet captures can be performed with the Airtool 2 application by Intuitibits.
Fly Under the Radar
It's light, surprisingly compact, and is the perfect travel companion. It's also pretty subtle to minimize weird looks while you survey, and did we mention that it's pretty inexpensive?
Spectrum Analysis Option
See the impact and sources of non-Wi-Fi interference.
Two ways to analyze spectrum
Even without a separate spectrum analyzer, the Oscium Nomad device allows analyzing Wi-Fi on 2.4, 5, and 6 GHz spectrum bands. Nomad discovers all access points, AP properties, channel utilization (airtime), and client counts per AP and radio. In some cases, however, measuring raw RF energy is necessary to visualize non-Wi-Fi interference, such as motion detectors or RF jammers. For this, an optional, supported spectrum analyzer can be connected to the Nomad.
Real-time analysis across all bands
With a supported spectrum analyzer connected via USB, Nomad provides real-time spectrum analysis for 2.4, 5, and 6 GHz bands. Data can be viewed live without a map, and during a walk-through survey, spectrum data is captured and stored for post-survey review in a web browser.
Validation Surveys
From design to deployment, deployment to validation, all in one project. Survey your new network to make sure it meets your design requirements.
AP-on-a-Stick Surveys
Want to design in the real world? No problem for Hamina Onsite! Pop an AP on a Wi-Fi Stand, and survey around it with ease to see the real-world coverage, all before you commit to putting the AP on the ceiling.
Take Note
Use Hamina Onsite to add notes and photos. Document incorrectly installed APs, or specific instructions to make sure hardware is installed correctly (the first time).
Collaboration and Sharing
Multiple people can survey a single project simultaneously - either the same floor, or different floors. It's super-easy to share the projects to individuals and teams in Hamina, too. Licensing is per-user.
Live Troubleshooting
Wi-Fi scanning, live and direct from Oscium Nomad. Hamina Onsite also supports real-time spectrum analysis with NetAlly NXT-2000, Oscium Wi-Spy Lucid and Oscium WiPry Clarity.
Works in any environment
Use Hamina Onsite to design anywhere: offices, warehouses, hospitals, outdoors, cruise ships, and even spaceships, if you have one of those. If you do, let us know. We'd love to hear about it.

I'm impressed with the overall package. From size, to weight, to presentation. There was absolutely thought put into this by people who clearly have spent time doing actual site surveys.

Frequently asked questions
Hamina Onsite is a subscription service from Hamina Wireless that enables Wi-Fi site surveys and troubleshooting with the Hamina Onsite app.
The Oscium Nomad is a specialized Wi-Fi measurement device by our friends at Oscium, who have been making Wi-Fi test and measurement equipment for like, forever.
Hamina Onsite works on iPhone, iPad and Apple Silicon MacBooks.
The Oscium Nomad includes a standard USB-C cable (a nice braided one) that you can use to directly connect it to your USB-C iPhone or iPad.
To connect the Oscium Nomad to an iPhone or iPad with a Lightning port, you'll need to separately purchase an Apple Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter. If you have a device with USB-C (such as iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Pro, iPad Pro, iPad Air, or iPad mini), then you don't need an adapter.
We strongly recommend an iPhone or iPad with a USB-C connector due to connectivity and inconsistency issues we've seen with the lightning connector.

Nope! Hamina Onsite works great in offline mode, so you can survey if there's no cellular service or Wi-Fi (which is probably why you're surveying).
Nah! If all you need to do is site surveys and a bit of analysis, all you need is a Hamina Onsite subscription.
Oscium provides a 1-year warranty for the Oscium Nomad.
Not right now, they are currently sold as a bundle.
If you just want to do survey analysis and reporting, all you need is a Hamina Network Planner or Planner Plus subscription. You only need Hamina Onsite if you're performing surveys and live troubleshooting.
